Several Methods for Derusting Bearings


1. Bearing spheroidizing annealing process


The annealing heating temperature range of the bearing is 770℃-810℃, and 790℃ is considered to be a suitable temperature. If the heating temperature is too high, the amount of undissolved carbides in the austenite is too small, the austenite composition is homogenized, and after cooling, coarse flaky pearlite or large aggregated carbides are obtained, which is an unqualified superheated structure. If the heating is insufficient, the flaky pearlite is not fully dissolved, and the austenite composition is very uneven. During the cooling process, the carbides are precipitated along the original lamellar layer or in the form of fine chains. This is an insufficient heating structure and the hardness is also high. The function of holding time is to heat the blank through and complete the necessary phase transformation process. Properly extending the holding time can reduce the level of mesh carbide.


2. Several methods of bearing rust removal


There is one thing that is indispensable in many equipment, and it is the same for many of us. Bearings are like the parts on our body, which are indispensable, but if the parts are rusted, they cannot operate normally. The same is true, so the method of bearing rust removal needs to be understood by everyone!


(1) Immersion method


Some small items are soaked in anti-rust grease, and the crossed tapered roller bearings allow a layer of anti-rust grease to adhere to its surface. Oil film thickness can be achieved by controlling the temperature or viscosity of the anti-rust grease.


(2) Brushing method


It is used for outdoor construction equipment or special-shaped products that are not suitable for immersion or spraying. When brushing, pay attention not only to avoid accumulation, but also to prevent leakage.


(3) Spray method


Some large anti-rust objects cannot be oiled by immersion method. Generally, the rotary table bearing is sprayed with filtered compressed air with a pressure of about 0.7Mpa in a clean air place. The spray method is suitable for solvent-diluted anti-rust oil or thin-layer anti-rust oil, but perfect fire protection and labor protection measures must be adopted.


(4) Surface cleaning


The cleaning method must be selected according to the nature of the surface of the antirust and the conditions at that time. Commonly used are solvent cleaning method, chemical treatment cleaning method and mechanical cleaning method.


(5) Surface drying


After cleaning, it can be dried with filtered dry compressed air, or dried with a dryer at 120°C-170°C, or dried with a clean gauze.
