Analysis of the Unique Needle Roller Bearings


Needle roller bearings are equipped with thin and long rollers, so the radial structure is compact, and when the inner diameter and load capacity are the same as other types of bearings, the outer diameter is small, especially suitable for support results with limited radial device size.


1. The uniqueness of needle roller bearings


Depending on the application site, bearings without inner rings or needle rollers and cage assemblies can be selected. At this time, the surface of the journal and the surface of the shell hole matched with the bearing are directly used as the inner and outer rolling surfaces of the bearing, in order to ensure the load capacity and running performance. The same as the bearing with ring, the hardness, machining accuracy and surface quality of the shaft or housing hole raceway should be similar to the raceway of the bearing ring. This type of bearing can only accept radial loads.


In places where oil seals cannot be installed due to space constraints, drawn cup needle roller bearings with oil seals at open ends or closed ends can be provided. The inner ring of bearings with oil seals is 1 mm wider than the outer ring. It can also ensure that the oil seal works well and avoids contamination of the shaft when it is slightly displaced.


Needle roller bearings are composed of one or two rings and a needle roller set with a cage. If the shaft cannot be used as a raceway, that is, if it is impossible or uneconomical to harden the shaft and grind it, this can be used. Needle roller bearing with inner ring. Needle roller bearing is a bearing unit composed of radial needle roller bearing and thrust bearing components. It has a compact structure, small volume and high rotation accuracy.


It can accept a certain axial load while accepting a high radial load. The use of high-precision cylindrical rollers (needle rollers) increases the contact length, so that this bearing can achieve high load capacity and high rigidity in a small space has been standardized, serialized and generalized, suitable for mass production and supply, and is very convenient to use and maintain.


2. Cleaning skills of needle roller bearings


Because of the long-term use, when cleaning the needle roller bearing of the centripetal spherical stamping parts of the old motor, the balls, the ball carrier and the inner ring should be rotated laterally from the outer ring and then immersed in hot oil. The rollers, ball carrier, inner ring and outer ring should also be disengaged when the bearing is cleaned. During hot oil cleaning, the temperature of the oil should not exceed 20 °C. When heating directly with an open flame, care should be taken to prevent the oil from igniting. The needle bearing should be suspended in the oil pan and sinking to the bottom will cause overheating and reduce hardness.


Soak the stamped needle roller bearing in kerosene for 5-10 minutes, hold the inner ring with one hand, and roll the outer ring with the other hand, the dry oil or anti-rust paste on the needle roller bearing will fall off. Then put the needle roller bearing into relatively clean kerosene, rinse it with a fine and soft brush, and clean the ball, ball carrier, inner ring and outer ring when cleaning the radial spherical needle roller bearing and the short cylindrical roller needle roller bearing. Detach and clean, and wipe the cleaned needle bearing with a clean cloth.
